Fig Jam


Given the name of the blog I figured a fig recipe would be the right place to start. I got this recipe from epicurious and followed some of the recommendations to add a cinnamon stick and some fresh ginger. I also used some green figs (not sure exactly what they were) instead of just the black mission figs. I liked the jam a whole lot and am going to bring some into work to see if anyone else does (since it only lasts a month and I can't stand the thought of fig products going bad). So there you go.

Good work! You need to bring me some. You know I'm all about jammy goodness. Did i tell you about the time I tried to save 15 bucks and make my own Membrillo (quince paste)? Yeah...it took like 5 hours. Not so much.
